9.1 Uses Identity Server instead of standard .NET membership provider.

it can still use the legacy .net membership tables I believe

you have to use identity server, but can keep your data

but that's because we're on XM

if you install 9.1 xp0, you'll see table structure is the same but xp scaled I think migrates the membership stuff into its own table
